R Bootcamp Part 4: Data Wrangling in R

R Bootcamp Part 4: Data Wrangling in R

The R Bootcamp is a series of four hands-on R workshops that will provide the participant with the knowledge of key foundational concepts necessary for analyzing and understanding data within R. The Bootcamp will introduce the RStudio interface, the basics of programming in R, how to clean and organize data in R, and how to visualize data in R. Bootcamp participants will gain the foundational skills necessary to conduct several data science and data analysis tasks within R.

One of the most difficult tasks when conducting data analysis is combining disparate datasets into a single usable dataset. This workshop will provide participants with the key functions and functionality found within R and the tidyverse package. Specifically, participants will be able to merge disparate datasets together, reorganize and reshape datasets, clean and prepare datasets in preparation for merging, and other useful data wrangling tasks. This session will be taught via Zoom: a link to the Zoom session will be sent in the confirmation and reminder emails.

Pre-requisites: attendance at Introduction to R and the Data Preparation: Taming Wild Data workshops or working knowledge of R/RStudio and the tidyverse package.
