In this workshop participants will learn how to use the biopython package to develop Python scripts for bioinformatics analysis. Participants will learn how to download public datasets from online databases, parse bioinformatics file formats, and implement some sequence analysis workflows.

Prerequisites: Familiarity with Python. Participants should install Python 3 on their computer. We recommend the Anaconda distribution which can be downloaded for Mac, Windows and Linux operating systems via this link https://www.anaconda.com/products/individual.

This workshop will be taught online via Zoom. A Zoom link will be sent in a confirmation email after registration, and in a reminder email two days before the session.
