Beginner Python for Scientists

Python is a popular programming language which is used in many disciplines. In this hands-on workshop, we will cover the basics of Python, including setting up a development environment, reading in data, and performing simple operations on the data.

Pre-requisites: No prior knowledge is needed, but please bring a laptop in order to participate. Please have the Anaconda distribution of Python installed on your laptop before coming to the workshop. To install Anaconda, go to https://www.anaconda.com/distribution/ and click on the "Download" button, choosing the 3.7 version of Python. Don't have a laptop? Let us know: classroom computers may be available.
