Funding discovery databases help you identify opportunities and past awards from public and private funders. UVA has access to several discovery tools, including Pivot, GrantForward, and Foundation Directory Online. These tools allow you to search for many types of funding, including research grants, fellowships, and training opportunities. 

This session will review funding discovery resources, focusing on private funding. We will outline differences between tools, provide a brief demonstration of each tool and its features, and discuss where to find support. We will walk through creating an account, executing a basic search, sharing funding opportunities with others, and creating email alerts regarding new opportunities.
