In a meta-analysis, we combine the results from several studies to estimate a statistic with greater precision and power. For example, if we have ten studies with 100 subjects each that investigated the same research question with similar analyses, we can combine the studies and perform the analysis as if we had 1000 subjects. In this workshop, we show you how to perform a meta-analysis in R using the meta package. We work through several examples using different test statistics to give you a thorough review of implementing a meta-analysis and visualizing its results. 

Prerequisites: Knowledge of basic statistics and familiarity with R would be helpful but are not required.
