Using SPSS Syntax
When working in SPSS, many researchers and students only utilize the various menus provided to them, causing them to miss out on the additional functionality and efficiency that SPSS Syntax can provide. This workshop is geared to those with some experience and familiarity with SPSS that want to learn how to utilize SPSS Syntax in order to create efficient, reproducible work in SPSS. This workshop will introduce participants to the specific terminology and style involved in creating code in SPSS. Using this terminology and style, participants will learn how to import datasets, organize and label data, manipulate and create variables, and generate some basic descriptive statistics.
