How to Work With Databases

Attendees of this workshop will learn the basics of databases and how to work with them. We will cover how both structured (SQL) and unstructured (NoSQL) databases work, their advantages and disadvantages, and how to know which is appropriate for your research. Users will learn how to create and interact with databases in a variety of ways: Designing tables and data structures, inserting and updating records, and querying for information within a database. We will discuss common mistakes made when creating and using databases.
